Antioxidant compounds have the ability to inhibit or prevent oxidative damage target molecules. Oxidative is one of agents that play a role in development cancer cells. It interesting conduct research find other anti-cancer order minimize side effects these drugs. This study aimed examine antioxidant activity and cytotoxicity vitro acetone extract cocoa pods (Theobroma cacao L.) on WiDr an experimental study, see effect giving pod peel inhibition free radicals, cell death. Samples were extracted using 80% acetone. The test was carried out DPPH method. MTT assay results obtained IC50 value which indicates death rate related concentration linear regression analysis, as well percentage inhibition. Cocoa has 15.41 ppm classified very strong antioxidant. for vero cells 528.13 ppm, while 47.47 ppm. showed component active inhibiting growth not actively normal
